a fresh start

Welcome to my new home on the internet...I finally tired of my previous blogging platform (Wordpress) and came back over to Blogger. It's just easier to deal with.

I still haven't decided if I'm going to import my old posts or just make this site an entirely fresh start. I'll decide soon. In the meantime, if you're interested in the old stuff, feel free to check out my old site at http://jpsjourney.wordpress.com.

Going forward, I've going to make a concerted effort to post on a weekly basis, on Tuesdays, to recap the week and talk about whatever is going on my head. Much of the time that will be something about triathlon...sadly, I'm obsessed and often that seems to be what I think about when I'm not earning a living. Hopefully the two subjects will merge sometime soon, but more about that to come. How's that for cryptic?

This week's pic is from this weekend's group ride with North Coast Velo. After some easy miles we stopped at Oceanside Harbor for some coffee and a quick snapshot. It's a fantastic group of people and lots of people in this particular pic are just starting out in the sport. It's great to see the enthusiasm of the "beginners". Rides like these remind me of why I love riding a bike...just spinning along on a beautiful day, chatting with friends, new and old. Not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning!
